- Segmentation does not guarantee a speed increase; server range support, connection limits, latency, local bandwidth and disk speed decide the result.
- Browser capture can read or forward request context. Exclude login pages, signed URLs and private sessions unless a specific permitted task requires them.
- Recheck telemetry and extension permissions after major upgrades because defaults and component versions can change.

Why is a task slower or failing to resume?
Lower connection count, remove an unstable proxy, check range support and link expiry, and compare a single-connection task before retrying repeatedly.
Why did browser capture handle the wrong content?
Verify the extension and desktop versions, site exclusions and file-type rules, then disable automatic capture for logged-in or temporary-link pages.

Does Free Download Manager guarantee a ten-times speed increase?
No. The result depends on range support, connection limits, bandwidth, latency and disk performance. A server limit cannot be removed by adding segments.

What should be checked before sharing an FDM task?
