Why did the drawing appear at the wrong size after export?

Why are lines, fonts or blocks missing in another CAD tool?
Use a compatible DXF version, avoid unsupported entities, embed or replace fonts where appropriate and reopen the exported copy before delivery.

Does a DXF file guarantee identical rendering everywhere?
No. DXF versions, entities, units, fonts, blocks and receiving-tool defaults affect the result. Reopen an exported copy in the target application before delivery.
Should construction lines stay on the same layer as final geometry?
Usually not. Separate layers make it easier to hide or lock construction geometry and reduce accidental edits to the deliverable drawing.
