ScreenToGif can capture a selected screen region, camera or drawing board, then open the result in a frame editor. Frames can be deleted, reordered, cropped and timed before exporting GIF, APNG, video, PSD or PNG sequences.
Choose a format by content
GIF is widely compatible but inefficient for long, colorful or high-frame-rate recordings. APNG is useful for transparency and richer colors when the target supports it. Video is usually a better fit for long or complex recordings. Reduce region, frame count and size before forcing compression.
Runtime, privacy and temporary files
