Usage tips
- Score files, fonts, sound libraries and export formats can have different licenses. Check each component before sharing a project package.
- MIDI stores performance events rather than final audio. Preserve the instrument, sound-source and tempo settings when a recipient needs to reproduce the result.
- Keep the editable score, resource list and rendered deliverables together so a later correction does not require rebuilding from a PDF.
Troubleshooting and uninstall
Why does a measure have the wrong beat count?
Check meter and note values, look for a missing rest or an unintended tuplet and use the measure warning while correcting one section at a time.
Why is MIDI tempo different in another player?
Check where tempo markings and tempo changes are attached and verify meter, tempo events and track mapping in both applications. Review MIDI and PDF independently.
- Archive the score and dependenciesSave source scores, font and sound-library lists, exports and version notes, and open a copy to confirm that the archive is usable.
- Remove the application and cacheUninstall MuseScore Studio through system application management and remove user cache or settings only when they are no longer needed; keep score directories separate.
